Performance Development and Evaluation of Solar Air Collector with Novel Phase Change Material

Experiments were carried out on an evacuated tube solar air collector connected to intrinsic thermal power storage provide warm unless radiation was available. As a phase change material, stearic acid employed (PCM). Water has been used as base fluid for converting sunlight into electricity gain air, and the collector’s manifold energy store. The most significant temperature variation between ecologic 38°C 22°C, respectively, during direct indirect radiation. A circular fin arrangement achieve flow rate of 0.020 kg s-1. efficiency minimum airflow rates (0.020 s-1) 0.08–0.48 times that maximum (0.04 s-1). Because PCM’s better heat-storing capability, this system benefit over sensible systems in it may be after sunset.
